About theHome Inc.
Founded with one simple goal:
help people facing food and home insecurity.
Gia’s Story
My name is Gia, and I came up with the idea for theHome, Inc. when I was six years old. While traveling with my family, I learned that many families in the United States do not have enough food to eat each day or a permanent, safe place to sleep each night.
I was upset and confused. I could not understand how children just like me could go without dinner or without their own bed at night. With the help of my parents, I created theHome, Inc. to help people experiencing food and home insecurity.
Through theHome, Inc., I sell my arts and crafts and donate all proceeds to people and organizations working to support those in need.
Now, living in New Jersey, I understand that food and home insecurity are systemic problems. Through this nonprofit, I hope to uplift community voices, connect people with resources, and encourage others to help create change in their own communities.
