My name is Gia and at the age of six years old, I came up with the idea for theHome Inc. While on family vacation, I learned that many families in the United States do not have enough food
to eat each day nor permanent, safe dwellings to sleep in each night. I was upset and confused, and I could not understand how young children just like me do not always have dinner and/or their
own bed to sleep in each night. So, with the help of my parents, I created my non-profit called theHome, Inc. I sell my arts and crafts and ALL of the proceeds go to those experiencing food
and home insecurities.
Now, at the age of ten years old and living in New Jersey, I realize that food and home insecurities are a systemic problem. Therefore, through theHome, Inc., I have been providing a platform
to uplift community voices and connect people with needed resources. And with your help, by sharing in this work, we can create change within our local communities.
